enCore performance &
laughing bodies, dancing minds
EnCore Performance is an extension of LCPD’s Laughing Bodies, Dancing Minds (LBDM) educational program, especially geared at older adults. As part of LCPD’s Dancing Through Life mission to make creative movement an ever-evolving part of everyone’s lifespan, EnCore Performance is a program designed to stimulate the body with creative movement practices to help physically support aging bodies. LCPD partners with the Madison Senior Center and together they have created a community that values the arts and how dance specifically can promote individual growth. The Laughing Bodies, Dancing Minds (LBDM) focuses on a student-centered experiential learning approach to help each person recover, uncover, and discover knowledge about themselves, others, and the world surrounding them.
